The Benefits of An Individual Being Trauma Informed
Unresolved trauma can lead to chronic illness by keeping the body in a constant state of stress. When trauma isn't addressed, the nervous system gets stuck in "fight, flight, or freeze" mode, causing long-term damage. This constant state of alert floods the body with stress hormones like cortisol, which weakens the immune system and leads to inflammation. Over time, this can result in chronic conditions such as heart disease, autoimmune disorders, and digestive issues.
Studies show a strong link between trauma and chronic illness. For example, people with higher Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE) scores are up to 1.5 times more likely to develop chronic conditions.

Hello. I’m Caroline Strawson, a multi-award-winning Certified Trauma Coach, Speaker & Nervous System Expert and founder of The Mental Wellbeing Company.
I may be all that, but I am, first and foremost, human.
Just like you.I have lived experience of debt, domestic abuse and homelessness.I was at rock bottom, and a shell of myself.
I was diagnosed with PTSD, and I have suffered from depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and self harm. I felt stupid, alone, isolated, and in a very dark place with my mental health. No one seemed to understand what I was going through, and the more I seemed to talk about the abuse I suffered and my mental health challenges, the more I felt misunderstood and filled with shame. This just perpetuated my feelings of not feeling worthy or good enough, that I was a failure.
The truth is, I needed someone who understood my trauma,my mental health, but that person didn’t
exist.
My personal journey with abuse, trauma and mental health, paired with my background in neuroscience and professional coaching experience and therapy, inspired me to take this path to educate people like you from a physiology first perspective and this is why The Mental Wellbeing Company was born to challenge the paradigm of traditional ways of understanding our behaviour through a trauma informed lens and the biology and physiology of us as humans.

💜 Trauma-informed and positive psychology workshops for children’s settings: because, as a teacher, I see every day how much difference these approaches make in supporting young people’s wellbeing.
Alongside my full-time teaching role, I’ve had the privilege of delivering workshops to a domestic abuse charity and to a charity supporting young girls who have experienced trauma as they train to become beauticians. I also hosted my own workshop day, where people bought individual tickets. It was so inspiring to bring together a community of people who all care deeply about mental health and wellbeing.

DO THESE WORKSHOPS HAVE TO BE IN PERSON?
No, you can run the workshops both virtually and in person.
DO YOU TAKE A PERCENTAGE OF SALES?
No, all your sales are yours as a founding brand partner.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 3 YEARS?
After the 3 years, you have the opportunity to stay again with a new contract and additional fee of £500/$650 and carry on paying the same monthly fee subject to inflation.
HOW DOES THE LOGO AND BRANDING WORK?
You can use the logo and access the hex code for colours. You get a social media pack with this on and all detail of this is in your contract. You co-brand with us.
